We wanted to acknowledge in our video more about what happened between the girls and their dad and where he is now. We weren't sure if we go it across in our first draft so in one of our shots which looked like it went on a bit too long we want to put something in to indicate bad news.
So as our music video is about alcoholism we wanted to reflect on the consequences that alcohol can do to people themselves but also to those around them. So as we wanted to try and make this as accurate as possible we looked up what alcohol can lead to and as in our video the dad isn't there (has passed away) we needed a disease which would initially cause his death. So we used the NHS official website to look at information on this topic so we could be accurate.
We decided a way to get this across to our audience is if we had a letter from the NHS diagnosing the dad, therefore its obvious to our audience whats happening in their lives and also shows why the daughter hates alcohol so much.
