Story- (Narrative)
Two sisters live together who are complete opposites, one is a raging alcoholic who is in a bad state when you see her, and she slowly kills herself with the excess of alcohol.
The other sister who is the younger one of the two, after seeing what the older sister has done to herself she refusers to touch alcohol. She then tries to help her sister with the addiction she’s created by finding support for her (this also uses the video to help raise awareness of alcoholism.
There will also be shots of the non-alcoholic sister (Amy) singing and playing piano in a dark room and other shots of two girls singing.
Visuals- We want our music video to show the differences between the two sisters a lot of our scenes will be colour corrected to be dark and gloomy but when it comes to the younger sister singing on piano it becomes brighter as there is hope there in the music. We aren’t planning on using any important props we want it to basic and plain so the little amount of props we do use- such as bottles etc.- make a bigger impression
Theories- Going against Hartley’s theory, pop isn’t just bubbly fun music as our song is sad and slow.
Fiske Zeitgeist everything revolves around alcoholism.
Goodwin’s- Music video demo, genre characteristics, lyrics and video.
Audience- Our audience is people who have related to this disease to give them support showing that there are people who care and places they can go who can help and be there to talk to. We also aim this at the widely market of pop listeners and others who like the tune.
